With over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and three advanced industry certifications (see below), I believe education and experience are important when considering a financial advisor. But, an additional critical factor to consider is the ability for you to have a normal conversation with your advisor without the use of industry jargon. You want someone who can communicate in a way you understand. I am that person! I have a passion for helping others and the heart of a teacher, and even left the industry for a short time to teach and earn my Masters in Education. Why is that important? I apply those skills to working with you.
I have the ability to break down financial concepts into easy-to-understand terms. We will start with a conversation where I take the time to listen and understand you and your family’s goals, hopes, and dreams. We then work as a team to develop and implement a long-term strategy to get you there. I will communicate with you at a level you can understand and take the time to answer all of your questions. Our relationship does not stop there. We will continue to monitor and make changes to your goals as often as necessary. Many of my client relationships are multigenerational. I want to get to know and serve you and your family.
The three industry certifications I hold are: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), and Chartered Retirement Plan SpecialistSM (CRPS®). I have held the CFP® designation since 1999, which is a formal recognition of expertise in the areas of financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and retirement (such as 401ks.) It is the standard of excellence in financial planning. As a CFP® professional, I have met rigorous education, training, and ethical standards, and am committed to serving my clients best interest today to prepare them for a more secure tomorrow.
The CLU® is a financial services certification for financial advisors who specialize in life insurance within the context of estate planning. Although many advisors have experience with estate planning, CLU®s go through rigorous training to earn the designation.
The CRPS® is a credential for those who create, implement and maintain retirement plans for businesses. It allows me to assist business owners and their employees with their retirement plan needs.
I encourage you to reach out to me and have a conversation. Isn’t it time you have a financial advisor who understands you and communicates with you in a way you can understand to help you meet your financial hopes and dreams?
